Sheriff Reports for the week of November 12 2017



Sunday, November 12

2:01 a.m. - Traffic stop on Swailes Rd. at County Rd. 25A. The driver was taken into custody for felony drug possession, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.

1:09 p.m. - While patrolling the bike path, the deputy heard dirt bikes riding on property belonging to Martin Marietta Aggregates. Three individuals were located and charged with criminal trespassing.


Monday, November 13

1:27 p.m. - Traffic stop on Lytle Rd. at County Rd. 25A. The driver was found to be suspended. He was cited for it and advised of his court date.


Tuesday, November 14

11:25 p.m. - To the Miami County Incarceration FAcility for a report of an assault. Two inmates were charged with assault.


Wednesday, November 15

1:08 a.m. - To the 2500 block of State Route 718 for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Both tires on the left side were flat and there was damage to both rims. The vehicle was towed.

11:02 p.m. - To Koester Pavilion for a report of a theft. An employee reported that a resident had money taken out of her nightstand. He said that the resident put $35 in her nightstand the night before and when she awoke this morning, the money was gone. He said that there have been several theft complaints lately and that an employee was suspended for her suspected involvement. He suspects that employee. The case is pending.


Thursday, November 16

11:26 p.m. - Traffic stop on County Rd. 25A at Uper Valley Medical Center. The driver was cited for possession of marijuana and having an inoperative headlight.


Friday, November 17

12:43 a.m. - Traffic stop on W. Monroe Concord Rd. and S. County Rd. 25A. The driver was cited for driving under suspension.

11:15 p.m. - A deputy saw a man walking southbound on County Rd. 25A at Stone Circle Dr. The man was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The male was cited with both and released.


Saturday, November 18

1:46 a.m. - To the 300 block of Washington Rd. for a report of an injury accident. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident. A blood sample was collected from the driver. The case is pending the results from the lab.

11:47 a.m. - To Harrison St. for a report of criminal damaging. The window of a front door of a business had been broken out. A keyholder soon arrived and said that there was nothing missing, and it did not seem as if anyone had entered the business. Deputies checked the property and were not able to find anything out of the norm. There was no object left behind that could have been used to break the window. The case was suspended for lack of leads.

3:41 p.m. - Traffic stop on Polecat Rd. at Piqua Troy Rd. The deputy was following a vehicle that passed another vehicle in a no-passing zone. The driver said that she was in a hurry to get home. She was cited for passing at an intersection.
